Some more pencil portraits

I really like the Milwaukee Sketch club. I can see improvements from when I first started drawing the undraped models. We don't talk much, just draw. I signed up for a pastel portrait workshop on 2/28-3/1 with Margaret Dyer through www.richesonart.com . Working on a pastel of a closeup of corn stalks & cobs in field of snow. Taking two classes this semester; principles of marketing and web design/dreamweaver. Created 3 rack cards for AccentKeys. Very cold here. Last night was -4 F. I've read books about drawing where you're supposed to draw an oval for the head and mark the placement of features. That doesn't work for me. I find more success starting from the inside and drawing outward. Here's two more recent pencil portraits.
