New Berlin Library, watercolor crayon 1/27/17

New Berlin library has an excellent room on the south side of the building where you can look out over a marsh and/ or apartment buildings. This area is really getting built up.
Overcast day with occasional light snow showers.

I really like the moodiness of this sketch. I thought the watercolor crayon colors would be too garish but they're not.

Here's a watercolor painting of a picture taken on a bike trail while riding tandem bike.

Was looking through old sketchbooks. Trying to get all the art stuff back in the cupboard. It is escaping into the living room. May have to get rid of some old sketchbooks again.

Starbucks pencil 1/20/17

We went to the Starbucks on 17980 W Bluemound Rd, Brookfield. Good thing too because it's a lot bigger. Quite a few of us showed up; the two Marcias, Gary K, Mark, Cindy, John, Vivian... This is real hopping place. Long line at drive through. Barely adequate parking wit people coming and going the entire morning. Luckily I decided to follow the GPS because I didn't realize it wasn't the other Starbucks further east on the south side of Bluemound.

Parking was a little difficult here.
There little egg bites shaped in the shape of a muffin are very yummy and so is their Green Chai Latte made with almond milk.
Very enjoyable day talking and sketching.
