Miniwaukan Park, Mukwonago

It was an extraordinary warm November day. Almost 70 and sunny with a light breeze. Very little humidity so the acrylics dried fast. A lot of kids skipping rocks, playing frisbee golf. Very friendly.

Finished 2 acrylic paintings of North Ave water tower

4x6 and 5x5. Tried to catch the way I remember the evening summer light looking when I was there earlier this year in August.

Used Utrecht's ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, cadmium yellow lemon and titanium white mixed with acrylic medium retarder gel so it doesn't dry too fast. In between painting sessions I put the palette between 2 plates in the fridge.

Big Bay Park, Whitefish Bay

This park is on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. It was quite cool up at the top so took the wide paved path down to the beach and then sheltered from the wind we were quite comfortable. I'd like to go back here. This is probably the last Wednesday morning I will be painting outside as it's getting too cold for my northside set of friends. However, I will still be painting outside once a week with my Mukwonago friends like we did last year. So pretty soon we will be painting snow.

Mukwonago Canoe Launch on Holz Parkway

Cool and sunny but warm enough to take off my coat after I started painting. Couldn't find my white at first, (it was hiding under my rag) so was letting the white of the canvas show though. Also a picture of me painting.
