Went to downtown Waukesha twice this week. Did a watercolor, pencil & oil pastel sketch. Sunny, no rain, in the 70s quite nice out.

2 watercolor sketches at Dave's Falls in Marinette County

It was a bit overcast, about 70F and even drizzled once. Despite the weather people were hiking, fishing and swimming in the river. Everyone was quite friendly. I first drew a rocky island then the path through the woods. Dave's Falls is a very nice park.

Watercolor of Mallard Lake Falls

Been studying some watercolor books: Outdoors in Watercolor by Alwyn Crawshaw, First Impressions - Sketching Nature in Watercolor by Edward Norton Ward, Painting Watercolors on Location with Tom Hill and Watercolors by Ron Ranson.

Some watercolor pencil sketches & a inprocess pastel drawing

Still experimenting with watercolor pencils. Like the bold colors in the Downer Ave old call box sketch.

Water very high in lagoon. Cool day, about 60 degrees, clouds threatened rain but it didn't. Watercolor pencil experiment.
